该剧讲述了一对原本坚定的 “丁克”夫妻，在 “造人”之路上的悲喜轶事。林君与唐鹏从马尔代夫渡假归来，飞机上，林君与一对抱小孩的夫妻同座，逗孩子时被尿了一身，感觉孩子虽然可爱，但是真麻烦。唐鹏见同龄人都有了孩子觉得很失落，林君却很庆幸，想先享受生活，40岁再生孩子。唐鹏等不及了，父母一个劲的催，他为了哄林君生孩子，处处忍让赔小心，但林君就是严格执行避孕，让他有苦说不出。唐父的去世成为夫妻俩矛盾爆发的导火索，唐鹏心疼父亲临走前都没有看到自己的孙子，不想令母亲也有这种遗憾，在“要么离婚要么生孩子”的通牒下，林君屈服了。
